Grouper

When to Catch:  When the cooler weather arrives.
*exception:  Gag grouper can be harvested from Sept. 16 through Nov. 15, 2011.  Closures can be subject to change.
Where to Find:  Offshore, Captain K loves anchoring on hard bottom and ledges.  Dropping down frozen sardines, squid or live pinfish will have your rod bent in no time. 

Tarpon

When to Catch:  Through Springtime and summer months
Where to Find:  Bay bridges, offshore along the beaches

Snapper

When to Catch:  Year Round
*exception: Red Snapper can be harvested from June 1 through July 18, 2011.  Closures can be subject to change.
Where to Find:  Offshore and in the bay

One of Captain K's favorite fish to eat.  If there's snapper on the menu, expect her to dinner.

Kingfish

When to Catch:  Peak season to hook into some Kings is in the spring months starting in March and again in the fall around November.
Where to Find:  Offshore and Beaches, Hooking into a big King is as exciting as it comes.  Captain K will slow troll for these fish or free line  live bait to chum them to the boat.
